Plus: The Chicago Digital Media Production Fund Information Session
This bimonthly networking event provides a chance for filmmakers to meet and collaborate on projects. Are you a screenwriter looking for a producer? A director looking for a director of photography? This event is open to all talents and disciplines who are interested in making independent media: editors, actors, art directors, composers, make-up artists... Bring your resume and business cards, and we’ll handle the rest.
SCHEDULE: 7pm Networking, 8pm Pete Biagi, 9pm Production Fund Information Session.
PETE BIAGI (pictured) is an acclaimed cinematographer based in Chicago. His work ranges between commercials, major studio films and many independent projects. Recent titles include feature films The Drunk (dir. Paul Fleschner & William Tannoos), Leading Ladies (dir. Erika Randall & Dan Beahm), and I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (dir. Jeff Garlin). Pete will discuss the relationship between cinematographer and director, and the lessons he’s learned over a 20-year career.
THE CHICAGO DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION FUND INFORMATION SESSION will address any burning questions you may have about this new grant, which will give up to $10,000 toward funding new projects based in Chicago. Ask about fund guidelines, application questions, budgets, and how this to make the fund work for you.
